Write the book you know, in your own voice.
OpusQuill takes you from a rough idea to a revised manuscript through a spec-first framework. At every step it proposes and you decide. It drafts, checks and keeps the evidence straight; the thinking and the final say stay with you.
Plan on 4–6 focused hours for a 30–40k-word book. That time is the point.
Join the waitlistFour to six hours, on purpose
A finished 30–40k-word book takes 4–6 focused hours with OpusQuill, spread over as many sittings as you like. That time goes into your seed, your choices, the voice samples you edit until they sound like you, and your review of every section. Tools that turn a prompt into a book in ten minutes skip all of that, and it shows.

How it works
Six phases, in order. Nothing moves past a gate until you approve it, and you can always go back to an earlier phase.
Seed. Put down the raw idea: type it, dictate it, or upload your notes. It is allowed to be wrong. Then a short guided conversation: OpusQuill reflects back what is distinctive, and offers options for the reader, the thesis, the objections and the shape of the book. You pick, edit or turn down each one.
Spec. Your choices become a one-page spec: who the reader is, what you argue, what you promise. You edit it directly. OpusQuill checks whether the thesis is arguable and the promise concrete enough to fail, and reports the gaps. You approve it.
Outline and evidence. OpusQuill proposes a chapter map, each chapter with a payoff a reader could test and a word budget, and starts a claim ledger: every factual claim the book will make, with a slot for its source. You revise, OpusQuill audits, you approve.
Voice. OpusQuill drafts three candidate samples for each way you write: explaining, arguing, telling a story. You pick one of each and edit it until it sounds like you. Your edits become the voice the book is drafted in.
Drafting. Chapter by chapter, section by section. OpusQuill drafts a section from your spec, outline and voice; you read it, revise it with notes, and approve it before the next one. If a section needs a claim that has no ledger row, drafting stops and asks you.
Revision. Four passes: structure, line edits proposed as changes you accept or reject, evidence, and continuity. Every claim is verified by you, reframed as your own experience, or cut. Then you export to DOCX, PDF or Markdown.
Your claims, checked by you
Every factual claim gets a row in the claim ledger before it appears in the text. OpusQuill can suggest a source, but only you can mark a claim verified, and only after you have opened that source. Unverified claims block export.
Who it is for
Experts writing a short book. Coaches, consultants, founders and practitioners with something to say and a file full of client stories. You bring the expertise and the opinions; OpusQuill keeps the structure and the evidence in order. Long essays of 5–15k words, short books of 15–30k, and books up to 40k.
Fiction writers, next. Short stories to novellas will run on the same engine with a framework of their own. Non-fiction opens first. If fiction is what you want to write, say so on the form.
